Support Services

Have you been affected by a street harassment experience? We hope that our website provides an outlet for you to express any emotion this might have triggered for you, but we understand it’s only the first step, and these experiences affect us far beyond the moment they happen, or even the moment we write them down.

West Midlands Police – You can report a harassment incident and contact your local station

 

The Rape and Sexual Violence Project, Birmingham – Established charity supporting survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. They also support the partners, relations, friends and carers of survivors

 

Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid – Provides services for women and children who have been affected by the experience of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault.

 

Birmingham Domestic Abuse Refuge line – 0800 111 4223 Refuges across the city can be contacted through this number

 

Councilling Directory – a comprehensive database of UK counsellors, with information on their training and experience, areas of counselling covered, fees and contact details. This service is free, confidential and easy to use

 

Broken Rainbow – Support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people experiencing domestic violence

 

Survivors UK – London based charity (with national helpline) providing support for male victims of rape and sexual abuse

 

Refuge ‘National 24-hour Domestic Violence Helpline’ provides information and help for people experiencing domestic violence and their supporters, 24 hours a day: 0808 2000 247
